The Ankh is formed, starting from the top, by a circle, the symbol of that which has no beginning or no end, it represents the celestial world, and the spirit of Ra, the Sun God. This circle is also the handle of the key, where it is carried by the Gods who carry it. It rests on the Earth, much like the Sun on the horizon, when it sets or rises.
The Ankh opens the doors of the world of the dead. In funeral ceremonies, when it is taken by the handle, it is the key to the tomb and, placed between the eyes, it is an obligation of secrecy.
